Burnt Ends is perhaps known by every foodie in Singapore for its stunning roast meats and amazing sanger burger. But did you know Burnt Ends also had a bakery that churned out arguably the best donuts in Singapore?
Singapore’s food scene has seen no lack of cafes specialising in pastries, but not many can boast of being a mainstay in the scene for as long as Pantler has been.
Olivia Restaurant & Lounge’s legendary Basque Burnt Cheesecake needs no introduction, often raved as the best desserts Singapore has to offer. Alas, Olivia’s prices are an indulgence and sometimes we just want a slice of cake. Hearing our prayers, they’ve opened Queic by Olivia.
[Update: KKI Sweets has closed.] We love our desserts, from the most simple waffles & ice creams to intricately moulded croissants — you can find wildly popular dessert stores at every corner of the island. KKI Sweets are, however, on a level above every other cafe.
[Update: Lee’s Confectionery has closed and reopened as Nickel.] There are many amazing patisseries in Singapore but not many have the same eye for aesthetics as Lee’s Confectionery. These creations are as much a treat for the eyes as the palate.
Nestled in a quaint and unassuming shop space in Katong, Petit Pain produces some of the most popular pastries in Singapore. Alas, with their secluded location and the excruciating queues, have you wondered if they are worth the pain? Quite possibly so.
